"Everyone used the same language and the 

same words,"it is said in Genesis, the oldest

part of the Bible.

In all the times, men were fascinated by the 

legend of Babel and tried to break out the

enigma of the common original language.

More recently, men followed unsuccessfully the

track of an hypothetical Indo-european

language.

However, another legend similar to Babel exists :"According to the stories of the ancient [Navajos],all beings could communicate in the Fourth World, men,

animals, birds and insects. But all these beings began to

behave badly [...]. That is why they were deprived of their ability to communicate."

"[...]. The Sacred Beings plunged them into a deep sleep and when they woke up, they did not understand each other anymore. [...]. The language of men became more diverse and they spoke twelve different languages. "

Might the Babel's language have come from the Americas ?

This scenario is in line with the legend accounted by Platon, telling that the people of Atlantis overcame the western part of Europe and North Africa nine thousands before. A people far more evoluted than the Greeks  according to the philosopher.

​

Nobody doubts that European languages are derivated from  a unique source whose understanding has sharply disappeared and left us misunderstanding the origins of our languages.

As Atlantis disappeared in the Ocean...

However, today the Babel's language is yet present in the heart of our languages.
